It is once again time for our bi-annual Scholastic Book Fair. This literary event provides valuable learning resources for our school. Our Fair will be held next week January 31st-Febraury 3rd running from 8:30am to 4:00pm (closed during our morning and afternoon recess periods). Students will have scheduled times with their classes to preview and buy books. Feel free to join your child’s class or come by at another time during our Fair to check out our selection of books.

On January 11 Davison School hosted a SMART Open House to share their firsthand classroom experiences with technology. Community members, teachers, and administrators from surrounding schools were invited to learn more about how Davison makes use of SMART products throughout the school. Multiple sessions were held every 30 minutes including topics such as SMART Response, SMART Exchange, Classroom Management, SMART Document Camera and much more. We thank those who attended and hope that it was an enjoyable evening!

On November22 Davison School, along with SaskEnergy representatives, hosted a news conference promoting Hockey Day in Saskatchewan. SaskEnergy has recently released an article from this event, which can be found on the SaskEnergy website or by clicking here.
Parents it is that time of year again to begin considering PreKindergarten for your child. Please click here for this year’s PreKindergarten Application Form and return the completed form to Davison School. Please note that students are selected based on available spots and needs of the student.
Due to the generosity of Melville Minor Hockey, Davison School students will again be provided with a number of skating sessions in January & February. The skating sessions are a part of the Physical Education program and students are expected to participate. If your child/children do not have access to skates and/or a helmet, please let your child’s teacher know as we have a number of skates and helmets to lend. All students must wear a helmet when skating (a bicycle helmet is acceptable.) All sessions will be held at the Horizon Credit Union Center. Many hands make quick work and if you are able to meet us at the rink to help tie skates, zip jackets, etc. it would be greatly appreciated. We are happy to report that morning announcements are once again going to be online. Please join us daily for our morning announcements using the tab to the right. Students and staff are responsible for sharing the announcements at 10:30am daily to keep us all up to date on special events, extra curricular activities as well as birthdays and special mentions.
